Animator's Camp 2

We had the first animator's camp in March, with the help of Beow. This time we didn't have Beow, but thanks to those who participated in his last camp, we had a second camp! Here are some pictures and details about how it went. Enjoy!

There were 2 groups of participants at the camp...one group are already animators and another group are Ruhi Book 5 graduates who haven't started junior youth groups. This group are all animators within the Ek Phnom community, which is one part of Battambang Cluster, and they spent the weekend studying the 'Spirit of Faith'.


It rained the most of Saturday and we had to seek shelter within the old temple (only 1 corner that was still covered...the rest were ruins). It was cramped, dark and musty in the confined space...yet, it didn't deter the participants who continued with games, study and discussions, even drawing out some analogies from 'Abdu'l-Bahá's Writings...it was great!


We also prepared the area for a few active games which we learnt from Sim Beow and everyone had a good time. We had them swinging and climbing on ropes, blindfolded through an obstacle course and shouting out to their blindfolded partners to pick up objects from a wet and grassy floor.

By the end of the camp, each participant had a self-made souvenir. Based on the study of the book, we asked them to pick out a quotation and make their very own bookmarks. It's amazing how much attention older people (not just children) like to spend on artistic activites, even if its with color pencils and crayons.
