March 24 and 25 was an eventful weekend with our guest visitor...drumrolls...Mr. Lim Sim Beow. Recognize or not??? Beow lar! We carried out an Animator's Camp and 15 animators from throughout Battambang were present for a fun-filled weekend, of course, enlightening, too.

We started the day with a host of games..ice-breaker, team-building, cooperative games that we all enjoyed very much.
After all the brainy activities...preparing speeches, composing their own lyrics and putting them into song, as well as having to prepare a short drama, the group was ready for some fresh air!!! Poison ball and captain ball...those of you who don't already know it...shame on you :P
The first day ended with a very warm campfire...weather was hot but we all admitted that it wouldn't have been the same without the burning fire!
At the start of the second morning, we had a full hour of discussion about service projects being part of the Junior Youth groups. Ideas were shared and 3 groups of animators had plans to carry them out in their own groups. All the best!
After that discussion, we all had about an hour of exciting station games prepared by Beow...and truly his style. Unfortunately, it proved to be less challenging for them as it would have been if i were to do it....hehehe...still the city girl??! He had them climbing ropes, walking cross bamboo bushes and close to a pond BLINDFOLDED, then shouting and screaming directions to their friends to look for balls around the field...of course, we all had a good time!
We also managed time to consult about a future camp we hope to arrange for the junior youth in Battambang. The finale was an arts & crafts activity for them to take back.
Each animator went home with a treasure chest filled with 'gems of inestimable value'...virtues!
